About the Ontario Rehab Alliance (ORA)

Founded in 2009, the Ontario Rehab Alliance is a non-profit association representing 134 healthcare organizations with over 4500 healthcare professionals. It is these professionals who are the primary providers of healthcare and rehabilitation services to the 65,000 Ontarians who are injured each year in automobile accidents. Our member companies operate in the auto insurance sector as well as a variety of non-institutional sectors. We share a common struggle to keep services reasonably priced while ensuring therapists are paid fairly and services are of the highest quality.

We are the only association focussed solely on the interests and issues of healthcare providers in the auto sector. We advocate on behalf of our members to influence government policy and public opinion on behalf of our members and the accident victims they support. We help our members to navigate the claims system with timely information bulletins and workshops.

Membership with the Ontario Rehab Alliance has been an invaluable source of information and a time saver while navigating the FSCO service provider licensing process. The policy and procedure examples outlined in the licensing implementation kit were thorough, detailed and contained smart suggestions for demonstrating compliance. Thank you to the Alliance for supporting and informing health care providers working in this sector.

The impact of joining the Ontario Rehab Alliance has been extremely positive not only on our company, but also for me personally. During the past five years, I have often thought about throwing in the towel, and now more than ever. For so many reasons, the work that I chose out of passion and love is now so disheartening. The Alliance has given me pause to think, a way to participate in making change, colleagues to commiserate and plan with, and in general, some hope. Not a lot – but some.

Thank you for your prompt and helpful response. I am so impressed with everyone’s professionalism at the Alliance. Clearly I have joined a great team! I am a sole practitioner and on my own (for 20 years now). I am planning to license my company so the kit would be very welcomed. Thank you again and I look forward to being an active member.

I never ceased to be amazed by the work, attentiveness, the timeliness of the ORA’s response on behalf of MVA providers. I am so grateful for your work, and that I had the sense to join. This is the best spent money I can recall having invested. Thank you all.
