Advocacy, Survey Results and New in the Rehab Community

Dear colleagues.

Did you miss our September 29 Virtual Discussion with Gord Harris about Protect Accounts and other potholes on our rehab provider road? If so, you may want to take a look at the slide deck key findings from our Rehab Sector Road Conditions Provider survey this last month.

We are creating a Protected Accounts problem-solving and resource-sharing task group.  If you are an ORA Member and would like to participate, please email – [email protected].   If you are not a member, but are interested in participating, join ORA today.

Navigating extended health/collateral benefits is another huge pothole and extra sticky type red tape. We are anxious to see the government follow up on its spring budget announcement. We’ve recently sent this letter to the Minister of Finance to encourage action.

We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Sincerely,
Laurie Davis, Executive Director

ORA Black Network Presents – Now & Then

Dear Colleagues,

Join the ORA Black Network for its second, much awaited virtual study series. Following our OCT 27th  exciting live event launch we’ll take a 5-week trip into 400 years of history discussing the NY Times 1619 podcast series.

At our launch, you will meet Dwight Townsend, CEO of GoMedics, learn about inclusive leadership with Mary Grogan, and start our look into Black history, locally, through a presentation by Blackhurst author Itah Sadi.

In the weeks following, members of the Black Network will facilitate weekly discussions of each week’s assigned episode.  Spots are limited to allow for greater group participation in the discussions.
